Change the narrative with the women experts from the European databases of the ENWE network.
Dear reader,
Greetings!
And welcome to our January issue of Ask Women. This is a monthly newsletter by the European Network for Women Excellence (ENWE) in collaboration with the women experts’ databases in our network, which include 100esperte, AcademiaNet, Agenda d’Expertes, Expertalia, and Les Expertes.
👉 New Year, New Format
In our ongoing efforts to better support journalists and event organizers, we are introducing a new approach to our newsletter content. Starting with this issue, each edition will be themed around a significant event in the following month. This forward-looking strategy is designed to give our subscribers more time to plan, allowing for the creation of in-depth features and special reports.
This Edition’s Theme:
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
This January issue is connected to International Day of Women and Girls in Science, on February 11.
About the theme
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science addresses the persistent gender gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines worldwide. Despite considerable progress in higher education, women continue to be underrepresented in these fields. This day serves as a critical reminder of the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the scientific community. It celebrates the substantial contributions and achievements of women and girls in STEM, emphasizing their impact while advocating for equal opportunities and recognition.
