Associate Professor of Physics at University of Pisa, she has developed the bipolaronic theory for high-temperature superconductivity. Works with the Interdisciplinary Center Sciences for Peace, Interdepartmental Center for Education Research, and the University of Pisa’s Responsible Research&Innovation group.

Glaciologist and climate researcher specialized in climatology and geophysics. She uses data from coring, surface radar and model simulations to gain a better understanding of climate change in the Antarctic ice cap. She is very involved in popularizing science.
