This Edition’s Theme:
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (30 July).
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is observed on July 30 to highlight a severe crime and a major violation of human rights that impacts thousands of men, women, and children globally. Trafficking affects virtually every country, whether as places of origin, transit, or destinations for victims. Human trafficking involves the illegal act of transporting or coercing people in order to benefit from their work or service, typically in the form of forced labor or sexual exploitation.
The World Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness and encourage actions to combat this global issue.
